The myth about the long love nights
The mythical long love nights that that are described in the romance novels have nothing to do with reality. The best sexual intercourse lasts from 7 to 13 minutes. So say some U.S. scientists according to the data from recent studies they published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine.
The researchers claim that even three minutes are sufficient to obtain “adequate sexual satisfaction”. They surveyed several thousands people to determine what they think is the ideal duration of a sexual intercourse. The most common answers were between 7 and 13 minutes. Sex, which lasts from 3 to 7 minutes was defined as “adequate”, sex below 3 minutes – “too fast” and act more than 13 minutes – “too long”.
In this study the American scientists debunk the myth that good sex must be long , “a fantasy model of male sexuality are large penises, rock-hard erections and sexual course that continues throughout the whole night” concludes Dr. Eric Corti “We see it in the movies, read it in the books. That is why many men and women believe in this fantasy. In our study, however, we received the results of the real rather than the imaginary model of sexuality.” The scientists believe knowledge of this real model will be useful for the treatment of people with sexual difficulties, and in a broader sense, it will contribute to reducing the cases of sexual dysfunction caused by psychological obstacles.
