What is Dihydrotestosterone?

The most important hormones in the male body are called androgens. When both hormone levels are risen in the bloodstream, they return to the hypothalamus and suppress the production of the “releasing hormone”. Thus, the production of luteinizing hormone from the pituitary gland is inhibited. As a result, the levels of the two hormones decrease and the secretion of the “releasing hormone” is restored.

What happens when DHT production is increased?

The higher level of DHT is a result of excess production of testosterone.
